Make Up For Ever HD Blush

These HD blushes have been around for a while and I kept reading about how great and pigmented they were etc which only made me want them more. I managed to pick Star Struck (#14) and Quickie (#6) from a blog sale.

Unfortunately Star Struck (on the left) has dried up considerably making it a chore to blend and it barely shows up. Quickie on the other hand is a gorgeous coral pink which blends to a powder finish. This is unlike any other cream blush I've used before as it has immense staying power. The swatches on my arm didn't budge for hours. I used my fingers to apply but I think a small stippling brush would work better in evenly distributing the colour.

If you didn't already know, MUFE isn't readily available in the UK and this blush will set you back £24.75 (inc £3 shipping) from Guru Makeup Emporium. I think that's expensive for 10ml, even if you only need to use a little bit because who knows how long it would last before totally drying out? Anyway there's no way I would ever pay full price for these, I'll stick to blog sales thanks!

Have you tried any HD blushes? What did you think?

  1. I fell in love with these when I saw Yinka's swatches on her blog but I haven't gotten around to buying any as I have a fair few blushers to get through as it is.

The one on the left reminds me of marshmallow and does look like it's dried up a fair bit but I'm liking the look of the one on the right.

  2. I've really been wanting to try these since a while. The colours you got seem so pretty!

  3. Whoa that's sooo expensive! I don't think I'd ever spend that much on a blusher (maybe only Nars lol) x

  4. @Rhamnousia - The colour is supposedly supposed to be Coral? The UK names seem to be different on the Guru Emporium website xx

    @Get Gawjus - I'm a sucker for coral and peach blushes :)

@Roshas - Exactly, I'd only spend ££ on Nars xx

  5. I bought one of these in Sephora so didn't realise how expensive it was 'til I got home... Eeek! I agree, you only need the tiniest amount but found that LOADS come out when you pump it!
    Is that just me?! xx

  6. I think they are super expensive, i jumped on the bandwagon on hols, but i think i could only be in holiday mode to spend that much! it irritates me how much product i waste when i pump it, i might buy a travel pot and do it that way (as i never reach for mine, shhh) xxx

  7. I haven't tried these blushes, and at those prices I don't think I ever will! I'm a bit tight with makeup - I hate buying things I don't end up using so I make sure I read every *single* bloggers review of a product before buying!

  8. The one on the right loks gorgeous! Great swatches!

  9. i tried them on the MUFE shop ,, i like the one on the right ,,
i think i wanna go and try it on my face ,, cuz i tried it on my hand and was like ,, bleeh ,, but they look great

  10. I really like this blush.. Got mine in #6 as well and I think it works so nice on my cheeks and I don't find it hard to blend at all..

I actually wrote a review on it and other cream blushed if you're interested, do check it out..

    Great post =)

  11. Ive been wanting to try these for ages as well but i agree they are toooo expensive x
